SUMMARY:Goethe Institut November Competition / November Wettbewerb
DESCRIPTION:The November competition is an online quiz for everybody in the U.S. 13 years and older. Participants visit a virtual interactive learning platform\, answer questions about sustainable living in English or German and get the chance to win handwarmers\, powerbanks and beanies. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe November competition is an online quiz on the topic of sustainability. \nParticipants visit the virtual platform “Sustainability Lab” which offers a wide variety of information on the topic of sustainability in German and English. For each of the 17 sustainability goals\, they’ll find videos\, podcasts\, games and more. \nWhile visiting the platform and answering the questions\, participants learn about environmental awareness\, a variety of eco-friendly practices\, and sustainable living in Germany and around the world. \nAnyone aged 13 or older living in the US can participate and have a chance to win one of 20 winter packages\, including a rechargeable powerbank/handwarmer and a Goethe-Institut beanie hat. The questions can be answered in English or German. This all-new show\, “Journey to the Rainbow\,” will transport the audience to a dreamlike wonderland as it blends the best of New York City’s hometown circus with the romance and magic of today’s European circus tradition. It marks the long-awaited U.S. premiere of Circus-Theater Roncalli\, which is revered as one of the most beautiful circuses in the world. The company has amazed more than 45 million spectators since its inception in the mid-1970s with its contemporary but nostalgic take on the one-ring circus experience \nBernhard Paul\, the founder and owner of Circus-Theater Roncalli\, and Patrick Philadelphia\, a long-time executive at Circus-Theater Roncalli\, will helm this dazzling and dream-like production created specifically for the Big Apple Circus. 34 talented artists from different parts of the world will present their spectacular circus performances in costumes specially designed for the show. It will also feature a live orchestra of eight musicians who will interact with the audience throughout the show and play an original score composed by Georg Pommer\, Circus-Theater Roncalli’s longtime Music Director.
